Michael Harris

Michael Harris was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1944.  Educated at McGill and Concordia Universities.  Taught for 30 years at McGill, Concordia and Dawson College in Montreal.  Founded, and for 20 years edited, the Signal Editions poetry imprint of Vehicule Press.  Wrote seven books of poetry, the most recent of which is Circus (Vehicule Press, 2010), and produced a translation of the poetry of Marie-Claire Blais, and an anthology of Signal poetry.  He was twice a prize winner in the CBC Literary Competition.  A book of essays and prose pieces will be appearing in the near future.
