Domenico Capilongo lives in Toronto, with his wife Lynda and their two boys. He teaches high school creative writing, alternative education and practices karate. He has had work published in several literary magazines including Descant, Vallum, The New Quarterly, Voices of Italian Americana, ACCENTi, dANDelion and Geist. He won an Honourable Mention in the Toronto Star 2004 Poetry Contest, was short-listed for the Lichen Magazine 2006 “Tracking a Serial Poet” contest, won second place in the Ottawa Italian Week Literary Fiction Contest (2009) and his first book of poetry, I thought elvis was Italian was published in the spring of 2008 with Wolsak and Wynn.
